D. Glass Maintenance
Theglassusedinyourstoveismanufacturedtoexactstandardstowithstandthehighheatofthere,butlikeallglass,it
must be treated with common sense and care. Never slam the door shut or strike the glass with a heavy object. If the glass
is broken or damaged, do not operate the stove until it has been replaced.
Glass - Replacement
Ifthestove’sglassiscrackedorbroken,youmustreplaceitbeforeoperatingyourstove.Removepiecescarefully.Replace
glassonlywithHarman
®
replacementglass;do not use substitutes.
Carefullyremovedamagedglass,gasketmaterial,andholddownclips(setaside).
Installtheselfadhesive1/4””gasketmaterialaroundthefrontfaceoftheglass.Settheglasspanelandgasketgentlyonto
thedoor.Installtheholddownclipsandtightenwithbolts.
Glass - Cleaning
Sometimesitwillbenecessarytocleanaccumulatedashfromtheglasssurface;allowingthisashtoremainontheglass
forlongperiodscanresultin“etching”duetotheacidityoftheash.Nevercleantheglasswhileitishot,anddo not use
abrasivesubstances.Washthesurfacewithcoolwater,andrinsethoroughly.Youmaywishtouseanon-abrasivecleaner
specicallydesignedforuseonstoveglass.Inanycase,drythoroughlybeforerelightingyourstove.
