STOVE DOES NOT FEED
1. Nofuelinhopper.
2. Fireboxdraftmaybetoolowforsensingswitchinfeeder
circuit to operate. Check for closed doors, loose or
missinggasketondoorsorhopperlid.
3. FeedmotorwillnotrununtiltheESPcontrolsensesa
certaintemperature.Maybeyoudidnotputenoughfuel
orstartinggelintheburnpotbeforemanuallylightingthe
re.
4. Restrictioninthehopperorfeeder.Removeallfueland
examine.Cleartheobstruction.

PARTIALLY BURNED PELLETS

combustionisacontributorofcreosotewhichmaycause
achimneyre)
A 6 blink status may be caused by several things:
1. Blockedorpartiallyblockedue.
2. Blockedorpartiallyblockedinletair.
a.Backdraftdamperontheinletpipemaybestuckclosed.
b.Ifoutsideairisinstalled,theinletcovermaybeblocked.
3. Theairchamberundertheburnpotmaybelledwithnes
andsmallbitsofash.
4. Theholesintheburnpotmaybegettinglledwithashor
carbonbuildup.
5. Combustionblowerfanbladesmayneedcleaned.
6. Fuelrestrictionsasnotedabove.
SMOKE SMELL
Sealtheventpipejointsandconnectiontostovewithsilicone.
Theexhaustventistheonlypartofthesystemthatisunder
positivepressure.

HELPFUL HINTS
1. Cleaning Burn Pot
Wheneveryourstoveisnotburning,taketheopportunityto
scrapethe burnpot toremove carbonbuildup.A vacuum
cleanerishandytoremovetheresidue.Besurethestove
iscoldifyouuseavacuum.
Carbonbuildupcanbescrapedloosewiththereburning
usingthespecialtoolprovidedwithyourstove.Scrapethe
oorandsidesoftheburnpot.Thecarbonwillbepushedout
bytheincomingfuel.Alwayswearglovestodothis.
2. Removing Ashes
TurntheTempDialtonumber1approximately30minutes
beforeremovingashes.Thiswillresultinacoolerstoveand
ashpan.
Maximum Feed Limit settings are not needed in most
cases.Operatinginthenormalrange(#4)isrecommended
whenmaximumheatoutputisnotrequired.TheESPprobe
preventsthestovefrombeingover-red.
Keepthestovefreeofdustanddirt.
Fuel
TheP-SeriesPelletStoveisapprovedforburninganygrade
ofpelletizedbio-massfuel.
It should be noted, however, that higher ash content will
requiremorefrequentashremoval,scrapingoftheburnpot,
andmayprovidelessBTU’sperpound.
Themoisturecontentofpelletsmustnotexceed8%.Higher
moisturewillrobBTU’sandmaynotburnproperly.
Fuel should not be stored within the stove installation
clearances or within the space required for cleaning and
ashremoval.

Withproper installation,operation, and maintenance your appliancewill provideyears oftrouble-free service. Ifyou do
experienceaproblem,thistroubleshootingguidewillassistaqualiedservicepersoninthediagnosisofaproblemandthe
correctiveactiontobetaken.Thistroubleshootingguidecanonlybeusedbyaqualiedservicetechnician.
