8.1.2 NIC Bond
Purpose:
When transmitting data via a single data NIC, once the data NIC fails, data transmission stops. By bonding
multiple data NICs into one, they can share one IP address, thus to balance network load and create redundant
links. When transmitting data via a bonded NIC, once a data NIC fails, other data NICs take over the transmission
task.
 The management NIC doesn’t support bond.
 The IP addresss of bonded NIC is the same as the first data NIC.
Before you start:
Connect all data NICs to network via network cables.
8.1.2.1 Creating Bond
Steps:
1. Check the checkboxes of Data NICs in NIC Information list.

2. Click and click OK in confirmation dialog box. The bonded NIC is listed in Bonded NIC
Information list.
