Pre-ride Inspection
To ensure safety, it is your responsibility to
perform a pre-ride inspection and make sure
that any problem you find is corrected. A pre-
ride inspection is a must, not only for safety, but
because having a breakdown, or even a flat
tyre, can be a major inconvenience.
Check the following items before you get on
your vehicle:
● Fuel level - Fill fuel tank when necessary

● Throttle - Check for smooth opening and
full closing in all steering positions 2 P. 106
● Engine oil level - Add engine oil if necessary.
Check for leaks 2 P. 97
● Brakes - Check operation;
Front: check brake fluid level and pads wear
2 P. 99, 2 P. 100
Rear: check shoes wear and freeplay, adjust
if necessary 2 P. 104, 2 P. 101
● Lights and horn - Check that lights,
indicators and horn function properly
● Side stand ignition cut-off system - Check
for proper function 2 P. 105
● Wheels and tyres - Check condition, air
pressure and adjust if necessary. 2 P. 88
