TRANSPORTING
To prevent spillage when transporting, the generator should be secured upright
in its normal operating position, with the engine switch OFF and the fuel filler
cap vent lever turned fully counterclockwise to the OFF position (see page 42).
Do not lay the generator on its side when moving, storing, or operating it. Oil may
leak and damage the engine or your property.
Do not operate the generator while it is being transported or while it is
mounted to any type of vehicle, trailer, or boat.
Take care not to drop or strike the generator when transporting. Do not place
heavy objects on the generator.
An engine that has been running will
remain very hot for a period of time.
A hot engine and exhaust system can
burn you and ignite some material.
If the generator has been used, allow it
to cool for at least 15 minutes before
loading the generator on the transport
vehicle.
