TROUBLESHOOTING
Engine has low

Check spark arrester
(optional part).
Check choke
position.
Possible cause
Optional spark
arrester clogged or
dirty.
Choke in wrong
position or choke
plate sticking.
DRIVE PROBLEMS
Engine runs, but
lawn tractor
doesn’t move
Check speed/
direction control.
Check parking
brake.
Check pedal
position.
Check drive belt.
Check transmission
release
Possible cause
Travel pedal not
pressed.
Parking brake lever
is engaged.
Brake pedal not fully
released.
Drive belt worn,
broken or not on
pulleys.
Lever is in the
RELEASED position

Correction
Examine spark
arrester, and make
sure it is clean and
free of any deposits
or obstructions.
Check choke plate
movement.
Correction
Press either travel
pedal down.
Release parking
brake lever.
Make sure brake
pedal is fully
released.

Move lever to the
ENGAGED position.
