Add Engine Oil
The powerhead is shipped WITHOUT OIL in the engine.
Place the powerhead on a level
surface, and then remove the
oil filler cap/dipstick.
All Honda engines are run at
the factory prior to packaging.
Most of the oil is removed prior
to shipment; however, some oil
remains in the engine. The
amount of oil left in the engine
varies.
Add enough recommended oil
(page 14) to bring the oil level to the lower edge of the oil filler opening.
Do not overfill the engine with oil, as the oil tank capacity is small.
Running the engine with too little or too much oil can cause engine damage.
This type of damage is not covered under the Distributor’s Limited Warranty
(U.S.) / Distributor’s Warranty (CA.). Screw in the oil filler cap/dipstick
securely.
