Calculator Overflow
When
the
number
in the display would be
greater
than 9.9999999
x

the
HP-25 displays all
9's
to indicate
that
the
problem
has
exceeded
the
calculator's
range.
For
example,
if you
solve

the
HP-25 will display
the
answer:

But
if
you
attempt
to multiply the
above
result by
100,
the
HP-25 display indicates overflow by showing you

overflowed.

Error Display
If
you
happen
to
key
in
an
improper
operation,
the word Error
will

pear
in
the display.
For

, try to divide 1 by 0 (the H P-25 will recognize this

improper
