Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the bottom cover:
1. Turn the computer upside down with the front toward you.
2. Remove the two rubber foot strips (1).
The rubber foot strips are available in the Rubber Foot Kits, spare part numbers L53558-001 (in natural
silver nish) and L53559-001 (in night fall black nish).
3. Remove the seven Phillips M2.5×6.6 screws (2) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
