Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 28).
5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30).
6. Remove the power button board (see Power button board on page 48).
Remove the power connector cable:
1. Remove the four Phillips M2.5×6.6 screws (1) that secure the display left hinge to the keyboard/top cover.
2. Swing the display left hinge (2) up and back as far as it will go.
3. Disconnect the power connector cable (1) from the system board.
4. Release the power connector cable from the retention clips (2) and routing channel built into the keyboard/
top cover.
