4. Remove the solid-state drives (see Solid-state drive on page 33).
5. Remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 38).
Remove the fans:
1. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (1) from the right fan and three Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (1)
from the left fan.
2. Disconnect the fan cables from the system board (2).
3. Remove the fans from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the fans.
WLAN module
To remove the WLAN module, use this procedure and illustration.

IMPORTANT: To prevent an unresponsive system, replace the wireless module only with a wireless module
authorized for use in the computer by the governmental agency that regulates wireless devices in your
country or region. If you replace the module and then receive a warning message, remove the module to
restore device functionality, and then contact technical support.
Before removing the WLAN module, follow these steps:
