NOTE: The bottom cover spare part kit includes shielding, fan/heat sink assembly grounding pads, and
the RJ-45 cover.

Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the bottom cover:
1. Turn the computer upside down with the front toward you.
2. Remove the four Phillips M2.0×14.6 screws (1) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
3. Remove the three Phillips M2.0×3.0 screws (2) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
4. Use a case utility tool (1) or similar thin plastic tool to separate the left and right front edges of
the bottom cover from the keyboard/top cover.
5. Disengage the left and right sides (2) of the bottom cover from the keyboard/top cover.
