3-cell, 52-Wh, 4.55-Ah, Li-Ion battery (includes cable) L48495-005
Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 32).
5. Remove the front memory module (see Memory module on page 34).
Remove the battery:
1. Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the four Phillips M2.0×4.5 screws (2) that secure the battery to the keyboard/top cover.
3. Remove the battery (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
Hard drive
NOTE: The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive bracket or hard drive cable.
