USB/audio board
NOTE: The USB/audio board spare part kit does not include the USB/audio board cable. The USB/audio
board cable is available using spare part number L56903-001.

Before removing the USB/audio board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 32).
5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 36).
6. Remove the hinge trunks (see Hinge trunks on page 44).
7. Remove the fan brackets (see Fan brackets on page 45).
8. Remove the fan/heat sink assembly (see Fan/heat sink assembly on page 46).
Remove the USB/audio board:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the USB/audio board cable is connected, and then disconnect
the USB/audio board cable from the system board.
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0×2.8 screw (2) that secures the USB/audio board to the keyboard/top cover.
