Remove the RPS backplane module.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
RPS cage
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 26).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Unlock the tower bezel.
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 31).
5. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 32).
6. Disconnect the power supply cables from the system board and the drives.
7. Remove the EMI shield from the lower media bay.
8. Remove the optical drive from the upper media bay ("Optical drive" on page 32).
9. Remove the hot-plug power supplies ("Hot-plug power supply" on page 30).
10. Remove the RPS backplane module ("RPS backplane module" on page 52).
