3.6 Installing the Router on a Community Broadband
Network
In some communities, network service providers use Ethernet interfaces as Internet
interfaces. In such a community, you can access the Internet through your PC if a
network adapter is installed on the PC.
Figure 3-6 shows the cable connection of a
community broadband network before the router is installed on the network. On this
network, your PC is directly connected to the Internet through the Ethernet interface
provided by the network service provider.
