Operating Checklist
Operating Location
• Only use OUTSIDE and place the generator in a well-ventilated area and carefully
consider wind and aircurrents.
• Place the generating set on a level surface before anyoperation.
• Allow two (2) feet clearance on all sides of the engine whileoperating.
TOXIC FUMES
The exhaust of the generator contains carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless,
poison gas. Using the engine indoors CAN KILL YOU!
NEVER use inside any building or any kind of enclosure, EVEN IF doors and
windows areopen.
Place the generator in a well-ventilated area and carefully consider wind and air
currents when positioning thegenerator.
High Altitude
This engine will have proper engine performance and emission control when it is
operated at or below an altitude of 5000 feet (1524 meters). This engine requires
a high altitude carburetor kit to ensure proper engine performance and emission
control when it is operated at altitudes above 5000 feet (1524 meters). Operating
the engine with the wrong engine configuration above 5000 feet (1524meters) may
increase its emissions and decrease fuel efficiency and performance. To obtain a
high altitude carburetor kit, contact Customer Support at 844-594-2448 or email
service@excelii.com.
Operation of the engine with a high altitude carburetor kit at an altitude below
5000 feet (1524 meters) may cause the engine to overheat and result in serious
enginedamage.
Operating Condition
• Check for loose or damaged parts, signs of oil or fuel leaks, and any other
condition that may affect properoperation.
• Repair or replace all damaged or defective partsimmediately.
Failing to correct problem(s) before operation could result in property damage,
serious injury orDEATH.
• Remove any excessive dirt or debris, especially around the muffler and
recoilstarter.
• DO NOT move or tip the generator during operation.
