For the characteristics of the cables, switches etc., consult the
pre-installation sheet provided, in particular the ELECTR ICAL
SAFETY chapter.
The installer must use cables with a suitable cross-section,
with minimum characteristics equivalent to type H 05 VV-F.
WARNING
The lead sections must take account not only the
system's absorption but also the cable path and
distances, the chosen protection systems, and the
current specific regulations for fixed electrical sys-
tems in the country where the spa is installed. The
electrical box terminal board is designed for cables
with sections up to 12 mm
2
.
To guarantee a degree of protection against water jets in com-
pliance with regulations and to make connection to the electric
mains easier whatever the type of cable section used, a cable
gland has been attached to the electric wiring b ox.
The installer must comply with the above regulations, as well
as use watertight connectors at connection points and
must guarantee compliance with the specific norms for
the systems engineering that are in force in the country
in which the spa is installed.
The installer must only perform operations related to passing
the cable(s) and performing the lead connections: “phase” on ter-
minals L1 and if needed L2 and L3, “neutral” to terminal N e
“earth” to the relative terminal designated with the symbol
(Fig. 4). Once the connection has been made, the installer must
re-close the cover and tighten the cable gland in order to ensure
protection against jets of water.
It is mandatory to comply with this instruction. Any other proce-
dure is prohibited.
IMPORTANT: for Countries where 220-240V voltage
is supplied by a two-phase system (L+L), the connec-
tion has to be made on terminals L1 and N anyway.
The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable installa-
tion solutions are left to the professional knowledge and expe-
rience of the installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee and cer-
tify the installation.
JAC UZZ I EU R O PE S.p.A. denies all responsibility:
If installation is carried out by personnel unqualified and/or u-
nauthorised to certify the w ork carried out.
If current norms and legal provisions regarding the electric
systems of buildings in the country in which installation is car-
ried out are not complied with.
If the instructions for installation and maintenance contained
in this manual are not followed.
If unsuitable and/or uncer tified materials are used for instal-
lation.
The spa is not installed in compliance with the above provi-
sions.
If incorrect operations are per formed that reduce the level of
protection of the electrical equipment against water jets, mod-
ify the protection against electrocution due to direct or indirect
contact, or produce abnormal conditions of insulation, current
leakage or overheating.
If any components or parts of the appliance are altered in re-
lation to the original state when supplied, releasing the Man-
ufacturer from any liability.
If the appliance is repaired by unauthorised personnel or if s-
pare par ts are used other than the original ones supplied by
Jacuzzi Europe S.p.A.

I FI R ST START-UP
Check that installation is complete in every detail.
Check that the cartridge filters are present inside the skimmer
(see the chapter “Maintenance of car tridge filter”).
Remove the thermal cover of the spa.
Check that the drain valve (
i 2, detail C) is closed.
NOTE: if it has not already been installed, take the plug out
of the bag of accessories and screw it into the drain valve.
Check that all the hydromassage intakes are open.
Turn on the all-pole circuit breaker located on the power sup-
ply line (see the chapter "Electrical Connections" and safety).
Press the TEST button of the residual current operated circuit
breaker located upstream from the electrical system to which the
spa is connected. If it does not trip, it may be faulty or it may have
tripped due to problems in the electrical system of the building.
Disconnect the spa and do not use it until you have i-
dentified and eliminated the defect.
Fill the spa so that the highest nozzles are covered (
i 2,
part.B).
NOTE: Filling will be performed as decided beforehand by
the Customer (see pre-installation sheet, chapter “Prepara-
tion for installation”).
If you use the hose for garden work, let water run for a
while before filling the spa. This will eliminate stagnant
water in the hose along with any bacteria that may cause
irritations.
