THREADING
THE
HOOK
A
WARNING:
Turn
OFF
the powerbeforestartingthe workso as to prevent
accidentscaused byabruptstart ofthe sewing
machine.
1) Pass the thread through thread path O in the hookand
thread
hoie

the
lever,
and
draw
the
thread.
Now,
the
thread
will
be
brought
to the thread
hole
O viathe tension
spring.
Make
sure
that
the
bobbin
revolves
in
the
direction
of
the
arrow
when you draw the thread.

Attach
bobbin
winder
threadguide O tothe
bobbin
winder
on
the machinearm usingscrews

Adjust
the
position
ofthe thread guide
referring
to
"17.
WIND

BOBBIN."
Pass
the thread inthe order,

Then
wind it
several
turns
round
the
bobbin.
(It
is notnecessary tothread 0 and © inthe case
where
CP-30
model
of
control
panel © is used
with
the
machine.)
Tilt
bobbin
presser O.
Adjust
bobbin
thread
amount
adjustment
screw
0 to
wind
a
bobbin
about 80%ofitscapacity.Turnthe screw counterclock
wise
to
increase
the
amount
of
thread
to
be
wound
round
the
bobbin, or clockwise to
decrease
it.
Ifthe bobbin is wound unevenly, correct It by moving thread
guide 0 of the bobbin winder back or
forth.
Then tighten
screws
O.
When the bobbin is
filled
up, the bobbin presser automatically
releases
the
bobbin
and
the
bobbin
winder
stops
running.
