■ Position of the wiper
1) Adjust the white marker dot on the handwheel 1 to
the position where it is aligned with the marker dot on
the pulley cover 2, quietly press wiper link A to move
wiper 3. The wiper recedes by the ratchet when going
and the position where the wiper returns to its home
position is in the center of needle or the position
exceeding the center of needle.
Besides, adjust with wiper setscrew 5 so that when
wiper 3 comes to the position of the center of needle
when returning, the clearance between the wiper and
the needle tip should be approximately 2 mm and that
between the wiper and the side of needle should be
approximately 1 mm.

2) The top end plane of wiper 3 should be positioned to
be almost parallel to the end plane of clamp head 4.
Besides, set the clamp head so that the upper side is
the protruding section.

1. In case of the process starting from the reverse feed, there is the possibility that needle
breakage or the like may occur since needle thread is not cut. Be sure to use the bird’s nest
prevention (CB) device in the process starting from the normal feed.
2. Guarantee of the sharpness of needle thread cutting knife of the bird’s nest prevention (CB)
type is #80 to #50. Do not use the thread thicker than the above range.

When zigzag width or feed amount is increased, there is the possibility that needle thread enters
the needle thread cutting groove of the presser and is cut, depending on the needle thread bend
of zigzag pattern. In this case, replace the presser with the general presser (presser without knife).
3) Adjust the maximum stroke of the wiper to the position
of 1 to 3 mm from the left end plane of the presser of
standard delivery.
