MOVING MACHINE OFF
WARNING
● When starting the machine off, check that the area
around the machine is safe and sound the horn before
moving.
Do not allow people to enter the area around the
machine.
The area at the rear of the machine is a blind spot, so
be extremely careful when reversing the machine.
● When starting the machine off on slopes, always keep
brake pedal (2) depressed, even after setting brake
lock lever (1) to the FREE position.
● When starting the machine on a steep uphill slope,
pull fuel control lever (7) fully to run the engine at full
throttle. Keep brake pedal (2) depressed, set steering,
directional, and gearshift lever (4) to the 1st gear posi-
tion, then set set steering, directional, and gearshift
lever (4) to the direction of travel. Release brake pedal
(2) slowly, and when the machine starts to move
slowly (or the shoes slip), release brake pedal (2) com-
pletely.
● For machines equipped with a backup alarm, check
that the backup alarmsounds when steering, direc-
tional and gear shift lever (4) is placed in REVERSE.
1. Set brake lock lever (1) to the FREE position.
