8 Trouble-shooting
WARNING
Improper work to remedy faults
Risk of injury!
For any work performed to remedy faults, observe the relevant information
given in this operating manual and/or in the product literature provided by the
accessories manufacturer.
If problems occur that are not described in the following table, consultation with the
KSB customer service is required.

- - - No indication The system is not energised. Check mains connection.
- - - Green indicator lamp is lit
(ready for operation).

Failure Reset
The piping between the pump and
the consumer installations is
clogged.
Eliminate clogging.
The automatic control unit is
frozen.
Defrost.
The electronic control system is
blocked.
Unplug and re-plug the unit.
The pump must start up within
5seconds.
- - - Green indicator lamp is lit
(ready for operation).
Red indicator lamp is lit
(fault).

Failure Reset
On
Lack of water Check water level; the end of the
pump suction line must be
submerged in the water.
Press and hold down the reset
button until the pump has primed.
The pump is not connected to the
automatic control unit.
Plug the pump plug into the
automatic control unit socket.
The pump motor has been
connected incorrectly.
Check connection in motor terminal
box.
The suction line is clogged or
defective.
Clean or repair.
The pump is blocked or defective. See pump operating manual.
Pump discharge pressure is lower
than start-up pressure of automatic
control unit.
Unsuitable pump (pump pressure
must be 0.7bar higher than the
start-up pressure).
- - - Green indicator lamp is lit
(ready for operation).
Yellow indicator lamp is lit
(operation).

Failure Reset
Air intake on the pump's suction
side.
Seal the connections.
Install suction strainer further
down; it must not be located in the
immediate vicinity of the water
surface.
Reduce air content in fluid handled
(waterfall).
