– Take off the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Remove the upper steering head bearing.
12.11 Installing the lower triple clamp (EXC‑F EU/BR)

Main work
– Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage,
and grease.
High viscosity grease ( p. 159)
– Insert the lower triple clamp with the steering stem. Mount
upper steering head bearing.

Check whether upper steering head seal

is correctly posi-
tioned.

Slide on protective ring

and O-ring

– Position the upper triple clamp with the handlebar.

Mount screw

, but do not tighten yet.
– Secure the wiring harness and the clutch line with the cable
holder.
