12.6 Installing the fork protector

– Position the fork protector on the left fork leg. Mount and
tighten screws

Remaining screws,

M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Position the brake line, wiring harness, and clamp. Mount and
tighten screws

– Position the fork protector on the right fork leg. Mount and
tighten screws

12.7 Removing the fork legs
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 63)
– Remove the front wheel. ( p. 107)
– Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 119)

Main work

Remove screws
1
and take off the clamp.
– Remove the cable tie(s).
–
Remove screws
2
and take off the brake caliper.
– Allow the brake caliper and brake line to hang loosely to the
side.

Loosen screws

. Take out the left fork leg.

. Take out the right fork leg.
