If you use the motorcycle in winter, you must expect salt on the roads. You should therefore take precau-
tions against aggressive road salt.
If the vehicle was operated in road salt, clean it with cold water after riding. Warm water would enhance
the corrosive effects of salt.

After EVERY trip on salted roads, thoroughly wash the
brake calipers and brake linings with cold water and dry
carefully. This should be done after the parts are cooled
down and while they are installed.
After use on salted roads, clean the motorcycle thor-
oughly with cold water and dry it properly.
