Switching off ABS (RC 125)
KTM recommends riding with ABS at all times. However, situations may arise in which
ABS is not advantageous.
Condition
Vehicle stationary, engine running.
Press the
button for 3 5 seconds.
The ABS warning lamp starts flashing; ABS is deactivated.
9.3 Starting off
Pull the clutch lever, engage 1st gear, release the clutch lever slowly, and simultaneously open the throttle carefully.
Tip
If the engine dies while starting off, only pull the clutch lever and press the electric starter button. You do not need to shift into
neutral.
9.4 Shifting, riding
Warning
Danger of accidentsAbrupt load alterations can cause the vehicle to get out of control.
Avoid abrupt load alterations and sudden braking actions, and adapt your speed to the road conditions.
Warning
Danger of accidentsIf you change down at high engine speed, the rear wheel can lock up.
Do not change into a low gear at high engine speed. The engine races and the rear wheel can lock up.
