Replacing Transmission Oil Filter Cartridge
A
CAUTION
•
Be
sure
to
stop the engine before changing
the
oil filters.
1.
Remove
the oil
filter
cartridge by using a
filter
wrench.
2.
Applya
slight coat
of
oil
onto
the cartridge gasket.
3.
To
install
the
new
cartridge, screw
it
in by hand. Over
tightening may
cause
deformation
of
rubber gasket.
4.
After
the new cartridge
has
been replaced, the transmission
fluid level
will
normally decrease slightly. Make sure
that
the
transmission fluid does
not
leak through the
seal.
Check
the
fluid level.

IMPORTANT
•
To
prevent serious damage
to
the
hydraulic
system,
the
replacement
filter
must
be
a highly efficient,

11m
filter
for
HSTtype and
98
11m
filterfor
manual transmission type.
Use
only
a genuine
KUBOTA
filter
or
its equivalent.
•
When
using
the
auxiliary
hydraulics,
replace
the
transmission oil
filter
cartridge after initial
50
service hours.

Greasing
1.
Apply grease
to
the
HST
pedal until overflows.
Checking Engine Start System

CAUTION
To
avoid personal
injury:
• Do
not
allow
anyone near the tractor
while
testing.
•
If
the tractor does
not
pass
the
test
do
not
operate
the
tractor.

Preparation before testing
1.
Sit on operator's seat.
2.
Set
the parking brake and stop the engine.
3.
[Manual transmission type]
Shiftthe main gear shift lever in "NEUTRAL" position.
3.
[HST
type]
Shift the Hi-Lo gear shift lever in "NEUTRAL" position.
4.
Shift
the
rear-PTa gear shift lever and mid-PTa gear
shift
lever
to
"OFF" position.
5.
Fully depress the clutch pedal.
