Table 3. Humidity Control Modes of Operations
Function Setting Mode Description
Humidication
Only
Normal These thermostat modes allow the homeowner
to control the relative humidity (RH) between
15% and 45%. The following conditions must be
met for either mode to operate:
Humidication mode has been enabled
Unit is in HEAT mode
Humidication demand exists
Additionally, the NORMAL mode requires that
heat demand exists.

Only
Normal
Both Staged and Modulating Outdoor Units: This
setting is recommended when the air outside is
not too humid.
Max
Staged Outdoor Unit: This setting is
recommended when the outdoor air is
excessively humid. This setting may cool your
home below the set temperature in order to
remove excessive indoor humidity.
Modulating Outdoor Unit: Recommend when
the outdoor air is excessively humid. This
setting adjusts cooling based on duct sensor
data. This setting may cool your home below
the set temperature.
NOTE: Discharge air temperature sensor
(catalog number 88K38) is required.
Dehumidication
Only
Climate IQ (Auto)
Climate IQ (Auto) is applicable only to iComfort
S30 controlled system with either communicating
staged or modulating outdoor units only. This
setting automatically adjusts both indoor fan
speed and cooling power based on local climate
conditions using Climate IQ
®
technology. This
setting may cool your home below the set
temperature.
The below adjustment tools are only available with either Max or Climate
IQ setting selected.

Dew Point
Dew point adjustment mode will change the humidication set point based
on the outdoor temperature and a user-dened dew point adjustment
setting.
NOTE: Dew Point - Adjustment requires an outdoor temperature sensor
and is automatically controlled by the outside temperature.

Variable capacity outdoor units are XC20, XP20, XC25 and XP25
Dehumidication Accessory Installed
When either an auxiliary dehumidier or Humiditrol is installed the only setting
available is dehumidication set point slider adjustment tool is available. The
only adjustment tool will be the Dehumidication Set Point Percentage.
Humiditrol: When Humiditrol accessory is used there are an additional
parameter settings that your installer can adjust. This setting option is available
under the Dealer Control Center on the thermostat. The setting is called
Humiditrol Comfort Adjust, and the settings options are:
Maximum Overcooling
Midpoint Overcooling
Minimum Overcooling
The factory default for this setting is Maximum Overcooling. Please refer to
the documentation included with the Humiditrol accessory for further details.
