youmovethecomputer.Movingthecomputerwhiletheharddiskdriveisspinningcandamagethe
harddiskdrive,causinglossofdata.
Towakeupthecomputer,doeitherofthefollowing:
•Pressthepowerbutton.
•Pressanykeyonthekeyboard.
Shuttingdownthecomputer
Ifyouarenotgoingtousethecomputerforadayortwo,shutitdown.
Toshutdownthecomputer,dothefollowing:

ThebatterygaugeintheWindowsnoticationareadisplaysthepercentageofbatterypowerremaining.
Therateatwhichyouusebatterypowerwilldeterminehowlongyoucanusethebatterybetweencharges.
Becauseeachcomputeruserhasdifferenthabitsandneeds,itisdifculttopredicthowlongabattery
chargewilllast.Therearetwomainfactors:
•Howmuchenergyisstoredinthebatterywhenyoubegintowork.
•Thewayyouuseyourcomputer:howoftenyouaccesstheharddiskdrive,howbrightyoumakethe
computerdisplay.
Usingtheacpoweradapter
Thepowertorunyourcomputercancomeeitherfromthelithium-ionbatterypackprovidedwithit,orfrom
acpowerthroughtheacpoweradapter.Whileyouuseacpower,thebatterychargesautomatically.
Theacpoweradapterhastwobasiccomponents:
1.Thetransformerpackthatconvertsacpoweradapterforusewiththecomputer.
2.Thepowercordthatplugsintotheacoutletandintothetransformerpack.
Attention:Usinganimproperpowercordcouldcauseseveredamagetothecomputer.
Connectingtheacpoweradapter
Toconnecttheacpoweradapter,dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothepowerjackofthecomputer.
2.Connectthepowercordtothetransformerpack.
3.Plugthepowercordintoanelectricaloutlet.
