harvest cycles
Possible Cause Checklist
Improper Installation
• Refer to ”Installation/Visual Inspection Checklist” on
page 136
Water System
• Water area (evaporator) dirty
• Dirty/defective water dump valve
• Vent tube not installed on water outlet drain
• Water freezing behind evaporator
• Plastic extrusions and gaskets not securely mounted
to the evaporator
• Clogged water distribution tube
Electrical System
• Ice thickness probe out of adjustment
• Bin switch closed/defective
• Premature harvest - The control board initiates a
harvest cycle when the high water level probe circuit
is complete and the low water level probe is open.
Refrigeration System
• Non-Manitowoc components
• Improper refrigerant charge
• Defective head pressure control valve
• Defective harvest valve
• TXV flooding (check bulb mounting)
• Defective fan cycling control
• Water cooled only - Water regulating valve is
incorrectly adjusted or will not close during harvest
cycle.
