38 Using your Answering Machine
9.8 Remote access
Remote access allows you to operate your answering machine and listen to your messages
by calling your IT6 from another phone.
The default setting is
Activated .
1. Call your IT6. When you hear your outgoing message, press #.
2. Enter your 4 digit PIN. The default code is 0000.
- You hear a conrmation beep.
NOTE
Change this code for increased security, see “PIN” on page 33.
3. After entering your PIN as stated above, use the keypad to operate your IT6 answering
machine.

Delete message playing 6
Switch answering machine ON 7
Stop playback 8
Switch answering machine OFF 9
9.8.1 Remote access ON / OFF and change remote PIN
1. Press
M, scroll u or d to Answ Machine and press M.
2. Scroll
d to Answ Setting and press M.
3. Scroll
d to Remote Acc . and press M.
4. Scroll
u or d to select Activated , Deactivated or Change PIN .
5. Press
m to conrm.
If you choose
Change PIN enter the old PIN and press m.
6. Enter the new PIN and press
m.
7. Re-enter the new PIN.
8. Press
m to conrm.
9. Press
e to return to standby.
9.9 Call screening
Use your handset or base speaker to hear a caller leaving a message. You can then choose
to ignore the caller or pick up the call.
The default settings are:
• Handset call screening:
On
• Base call screening: On
