Manual Test Mode
Motorola W220 telephones are equipped with a manual test mode capability. This allows service
personnel to verify functionality and perform fault isolation by entering keypad commands.
To enter the manual test command mode, a GSM/DCS/PCS test SIM must be used.
1. Press and hold to turn the phone OFF.
2. Remove the battery door as described in the procedures.
3. Remove the battery as described in the procedures.
4. Remove the customer’s SIM card from the phone.
5. Insert the test SIM into the SIM slot.
6. Replace the battery as described in the procedures.
7. Replace the battery door as described in the procedures.
8. Press and hold to turn the phone ON.
