Auto Photo Mode
Auto photo mode is the mode generally used for taking photos.

Select auto photo mode.

Ready the camera.
Taking Photos in Auto Photo Mode
Rotate the mode dial to C.
Hold the camera securely with both
hands, being careful not to obstruct
the lens, AF-assist illuminator, or
microphone. Rotate the camera as
shown at lower right when taking pic-
tures in “tall” (portrait) orientation.
Shutter speeds slow when lighting is
poor; use of the built-in flash (0 55) or
a tripod is recommended.

Movie Recording
In auto photo mode, movies can not be recorded and pressing the
movie-record button has no effect.
