7. Help with problems
Faults can occur in any electrical device. This does not necessarily mean that the device is defective, so
please check the list to see whether the fault can be eliminated.
Problem Reason Remedy
Device not working. There is no power supply. Check whether the plug is in a socket.
Check the fuses at the fuse box in your home.
The automatic cut-out
(thermostat) is still active.
Wait 15 min. until the device has cooled down
and can be switched on.
Excessive temperature
cut-out has responded.
Take the plug out of the socket. Contact the
service address (see "Contact addresses" on
page130).
Mode selector switch 3 in
OFF or incorrect position.
"Home" mode 220-240 V: set the mode
selector switch 3 to:
"Car" mode 12V: set the mode selector
switch 3 to:
(see “5.1Select the operating mode, switching
on and off“ on page22).
Fuse in vehicle
connector 5 defective.
Check whether the fuse is defective. In this case,
replace the defective fuse (see “7.1Replacing
the fuse“ on page27).
Device is damaged
(e.g. cracks, glass or
power cord defective).
Mechanical action. Take the plug out of the socket. Contact the
service address (see "Contact addresses" on
page130).
Food not getting hot. Device is switched off. Switch on the device by briefly pressing the start
button 7 down until the indicator lamp 6 comes
on (see “5.2Heating baby food“ on page23).
No water in the bottle
warmer 8.
Pour water into the bottle warmer 8 (see
“5.2Heating baby food“ on page23).
Food getting too hot
. Too much water in the
bottle warmer 8.
