OPERATION
Oil
n
Low Oil Level
The low oil indicator light will alert the operator if the oil level is low.
Add oil before further operation of t he snowmobile. See page 64 for oil
recommendations.
CAUTION
Operating the snowmobile without adequate engine lubrication
can result in serious engine damage. Always add oil when the
low oil indicator light comes on.
Always check and fill the oil tank when
refueling. Maintain the oil level at the
bottom of the filler neck. Maintaining
adequate oil in the oil tank will prevent
system aeration and possible loss of
pumping action, which could result in
engine damage.
NOTE: The engine may be operated
as long as oil is visible in the
oil bottle. If oil is not visible,
continued operation may
cause serious engine damage.
NOTE: The Polaris oil cap on the oil bottle is vented to allow proper
oil flow. See your Polaris dealer for recommended
replacement parts.
