MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Tires
WARNING
Improperly installed wheels can adversely affect tire wear and
vehicle handling, which can result in serious injury or death.
Always ensure that all nuts are torqued to specification. Do not
service axle nuts that have a cott er pin installed. See your
Polaris dealer.
Wheel Removal
1. Sto p the engine, place the transmission in gear and lock the
parking brake.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts s lightly.
3. Elevate the si de of the vehicle by placing a s uitable st and under the
frame.
4. Remove t h e wheel nuts and washers. Remove the wheel.
Wheel Ins tallation
1. With the transmission
in gear and the parking
brake locked, place the
wheel in the correct
position on the wheel
hub. Be sure the valve
stem is toward the
outside and rotation
arrows on t h e tire point
toward forward
rotation.
2. Attach the wheel nuts
and washers and finger
tighten.
3. Careful l y lower the vehicle to the ground.
4. Torque t he wheel nuts according to the specifications on page 88.
