California Emi ssio n Control Warranty Stat ement
Your Warranty Rights and Obligations
The California Air Resources Board and Polaris Industries Inc., 2100 High way 55,
Medina, Minnesota 553 40 (herein “POLARIS”) are pleased to explain the emission
control system warranty on your 2005 and later Large Spark Ignition Engine (herein
“LSI engine”). “The California Air Resources Board has designated this engine for this
vehicle as an LSI engin e wh ich p roduces 25 and greater horsepower and the v ehicle h as
a six (6) or four (4 )-wheel drive and/or a round steering wheel.” In Californ ia, this LSI
engine must be designed, built and equipped to meet the state’s stringent anti-smog stan-
dards. Polaris must warrant the emission control system on your LSI engine for the peri-
od of time described below, provided there has been no abuse, neglect or improper
maintenance of your LSI engine.
Your emission control system in cludes parts such as the carburetor and the ignition sys-
tem. Also included may be hoses, connectors and other emission-related assemblies.
Where a warrantable condition exists, P OLARIS will repair your LSI engine at no cost to
you, including diagnosis, parts and labor.
Manufacture r’s Warranty Covera ge:
The 2005 and later LSI engines are warranted for two (2) years. If any emission related
part on your LSI engine is defective, the part will be repaired o r replaced by POLARIS.
Owner’s Warranty Responsibilities:
S As the LSI en gine owner, you are responsible for the performance of the requ ired
maintenance listed in your Owner’s Safety and Maintenance Manual (herein “Own-
er’s Manual”). POLARIS recommends th at you retain all receip ts covering mainten-
ance on your LSI engine, b ut POLARIS cannot deny warranty solely fo r the lack of
receipts or fo r your failure to ensure the performance of all scheduled maintenance.
S As the LSI engine owner, you should, however, be aware that POLARIS may deny
you warranty coverage if your LSI engine or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect,
improper maintenance or unapproved modifications.
S You are responsible for presenting your LSI engine to a dealer autho rized by
PO LARIS as soon as a problem exists. The warranty repairs should be completed in a
reasonable amount of time, not to exceed 30 days.

Limited Warran ty

PO LARIS warrants to the owner of 2005 and later LSI engines that th e LSI engine (1)
has been designed, built, and equipped at the time of manufacture so as to conform with
the applicable regulations of the California Air Resources Board and, (2) is free from
defects in materials and workmanship which may cause it to fail to conform with those
regulations as applicable accord ing to the terms and con ditions stated below.
