Transmission Oil
Always check and change the t ransmission oil at the interval s outlined
in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 60. Maintain the
oil l evel at the bottom of the fill hole threads. We recommend the use
of Premium AGL Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant. See page 107 for the
part numbers of Polaris products.
Oil Check
The transmission dipstick (1) is
locat ed on the right side of the
machine near the recoil handle.
NOTE: We recommend the use
of Polaris Premium AGL
Synthetic Gearcase Lube.

products.
1. Position the ATV on a level
surface. Remove the dipstick
and wipe it clean.
2. Reinstal l the dipstick completely, then remove it and check the
level. Add the recommended lubricant t o bring the level into the
safe operating range. See Specifications beginning on page 104 for
capacity.
