MAINTENANCE
Transmission Oil
Oil Change
1. Place a drain pan beneath the
transmission oil drain plug
area.
2. Loosen the jam nut (A).
3. Turn the adjuster bolt (B) in to
allow the removal of the drain
plug (C).
4. Remove the drain plug and
wipe the m agnetic end clean to
remove accumulated metallic
filings.
5. After the oil has drained
completely, install a new
sealing washer and reinstall the drain plug. Torque to 14 ft. lbs.
(19 Nm).
6. Turn the adjuster bolt (B) out until it touches the frame, and then
turn an additional 1/2 turn.
7. Tighten the j am nut securely while holding the adjuster bolt.
8. Add the recommended lubricant through the dipstick hole until the
oil l evel is between the upper and lower limits. Do not overfill.
9. Check for leaks.
