Scalar i500 Basic SNMP Reference Guide 11
Max access: read-only
Description: The interface's physical address. For example, for an IPv6 interface attached to an 802.x link,
this object normally contains a MAC address. Note that in some cases this address may differ from the
address of the interface's protocol sub-layer. The interface's media-specific MIB must define the bit and byte
ordering and the format of the value of this object. For interfaces which do not have such an address (for
example, a serial line), this object should contain an octet string of zero length.
IPv6 Interface Admin Status
Name: ipv6IfAdminStatus
Type: OBJECT-TYPE
OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.55.1.5.1.9
Full path: iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).mgmt(2).mib-
2(1).ipv6MIB(55).ipv6MIBObjects(1).ipv6IfTable(5).ipv6IfEntry(1).ipv6IfAdminStatus(9)
Module: IPV6-MIB
Parent: ipv6IfEntry
Prev sibling: ipv6IfPhysicalAddress
Next sibling: ipv6IfOperStatus
Numerical syntax: Integer (32 bit)
Base syntax: INTEGER
Composed syntax: INTEGER
Status: current
Max access: read-write
Value list:
1: up(1)
2: down(2)
Description: The desired state of the interface. When a managed system initializes, all IPv6 interfaces start
with ipv6IfAdminStatus in the down(2) state. As a result of either explicit management action or per
configuration information retained by the managed system, ipv6IfAdminStatus is then changed to the up(1)
state (or remains in the down(2) state).
IPv6 Interface Operational Status
Name: ipv6IfOperStatus
Type: OBJECT-TYPE
OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.55.1.5.1.10
Full path: iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).mgmt(2).mib-
2(1).ipv6MIB(55).ipv6MIBObjects(1).ipv6IfTable(5).ipv6IfEntry(1).ipv6IfOperStatus(10)
Module: IPV6-MIB
Parent: ipv6IfEntry
Prev sibling: ipv6IfAdminStatus
Next sibling: ipv6IfLastChange
