6.2.1LinkConfigurationWorkflow
ThepreviouschaptershowedyouhowtologontotheRT‐A(HBS).
TheRT‐A(HBS)requiresactiv ation.TheODUwillcommencetransmittingandreceiving
packetsrelatedtolinkmanagementonly‐thatisnoservice.ActivationandDeactivationare
effectedquitesimplybyclickingatogglebutton.
AssumingthattheODUintended
asLinkRT‐B(HSU)ismountedalignedandpoweredup,it
willdiscovertheMasterODUestablishingalinkformanagementonly.AtthispointtheRT‐
B(HSU)maybemanagedovertheair.
HavingIdentifiedtheLinkRT‐B(HSU),thelattermustberegisteredtotheRT‐B(HSU)toenable
trafficbetweenthem,completingphase1.
Followingregistration,youcansetseparately,
• MIMOmode
• Transmissionratiobetweenuplinkanddownlink
• UplinkanddownlinkMaximumInformationRate(MIR)inMbps
• VLANparameters
• QualityofServiceparameters.
