thetransducer.
Fittingthetransducer
Followthestepsbelowtofitthetransducertoyourhull.
Note:
Ensurethatagenerousamountofmarine-gradesealantisusedonallmatingpartsandthatthe
partsarecleananddrybeforeinstallationtoensurealonglastingwatertightsealisachieved.
Mountingandsealantapplication
1.Carefullyremovealllabelsfromthetopfaceofthetransducer .
2.Removethelabelsfromthetopfaceofthetransducerincludinganyresiduallabelglue.
3.Usinganappropriateclothandcleaningagent(forexample:isopropylalcohol),wipecleanALL
surfacesofthesuppliedcomponentsandthemountinglocation,bothoutsideandinsidethehull
ensuringthattheyarefreefromgrease,debris.
4.Applyathickbeadofmarine-gradesealantalloverthetopfaceofthetransducersothatitis
completelycovered.
5.FeedthetransducercablethroughthestemholeintheHighspeednosecone,positioningthe
Highspeednoseconeoverthetransducerandslidethetransducerintothenose.
6.ApplypressuretoHighspeednoseconetocompressthesealantagainstthetransducer.
7.Feedthetransducercablethroughthestemholeintheexternalisolatorplate,positionthe
externalisolatorplateintherecessinthetopoftheHighspeednosecone.
8.Feedtheexternalisolatorsleeveovertheanti-rotationbolt,positioningtheexternalisolator
sleeveintheanti-rotationholerecessinthetopoftheHighspeednosecone.
9.Applyathickbeadofmarine-gradesealant:
i.alloverthetopfaceoftheHighspeednosecone,externalisolatorplateandexternalisolator
sleevesothattheyarecompletelycovered.
ii.allaroundthebottompartofthethreadedsectionofthetransducerstemandtheprotruding
anti-rotationbolt,ensuringthatthesealantwillprotrudeapproximately6mmabovethe
finaltightenednuts.
