1Routinechecks
Thefollowingperiodicchecksshouldbemade:
•Examinecablesforsignsofdamage,suchaschafing,cutsornicks.
•Checkthatthecableconnectorsarefirmlyattachedandthattheirlockingmechanismsare
properlyengaged.

sshouldbecarriedoutwiththepowersupplyswitchedoff.

nouserserviceablepartsoradjustments.Theoperatorshouldneverremovethe

6.2Unitcleaninginstructions
Theunitdoesnotrequireregularcleaning.However ,ifyoufinditnecessarytocleantheunit,
pleasefollowthestepsbelow:
1.Ensurepowerisswitchedoff.
2.Wipeunitcleanwithadampcloth.
3.Ifnecessary,useamilddetergentsolutiontoremovegreasemarks.
Transducercleaning
Y oumustcleanyourtransducerregularlytoremoveorganicgrowth.Organicgrowthcanbuildup
quicklyonthebottomfaceofyourtransducer;thiscanimpacttransducerperformanceinamatter
ofweeks.
Important:
•Whencleaninggrowthfromananti-fouledtransducer ,takecarenottoletpaintdustandother
debrisenterthewater,asthiscanhaveanimpactonaquaticlife.
•Takecarenottoscratchthesurfaceofthetransducerasthiscanimpacttransducerperformance.
•DoNOTuseharshcleaningsolventssuchasacetoneasthiswilldamagethetransducer.
Followtheguidancebelowtocleangrowthfromyourtransducer:
•useasoftclothandamildhouseholdcleaningdetergenttocleanmildgrowthbuildup .
•useascouringpad,suchasagreenScotchBrite™padandamildhouseholdcleaningdetergent
tocleanmoderategrowthbuildup.
•youmayneedtouseafinegradewetanddrypaperandamildhouseholdcleaningdetergentto
cleanseverebuildup.
Cleaningpreventingbridging
Onmetalhulledvessels,topreventgalvaniccorrosion,themetalpartsofyourstainlesssteel
transducermustnottouchthehull.Theincludedfairingblockandisolationpartsensuresagap
existsbetweenthetwo.
Whencleaningyourtransducerparticularattentionmustbegiventotheedgeofthefairingblock.
Ensurethatthereisnogrowthormaterialattachedthatbridgesthegap.
