4.4.2 Power up / down scenarios
MC35 and MC35i are fully identical regarding the power up/down scenario.
4.4.3 Automatic shutdown
To ensure proper operation of all assemblies under varying conditions, such as temperature,
input voltage, transmission power etc., MC35 and MC35i features protection elements for
automatic shutdown.
Automatic shutdown takes effect if:
æ the MC35/MC35i board is exceeding the critical limits of overtemperature or undertemperature
æ the battery is exceeding the critical limits of overtemperature or undertemperature
æ undervoltage is detected
æ overvoltage is detected.
4.4.3.1 Temperature dependent shutdown
The board temperature is constantly monitored by an internal NTC resistor located on the
PCB. The values detected by NTC resistor are measured directly on the board and are
therefore not fully identical with the ambient temperature.
