Inserting batteries
By inserting 2 x 1.5V batteries (type AAA/Micro/LR03), you prevent
the set time, alarm times and stored radio stations from being deleted
in the event of a power failure. The batteries make sure that the internal
clock continues to run even during a power outage. The display 1
will go out, however. When power is restored, the correct time auto-
matically appears on the display 1.
NOTE
► The device can also be operated using the mains power connec-
tion only without batteries. Operation using the batteries only is
not possible.
► In the event of a power failure, all settings (such as time, alarm
times and stored radio stations) will be reset if there are no
charged batteries in the battery compartment
9.
♦ Open the battery compartment cover 9 on the back of the
device.
♦ Insert 2 x 1.5 V AAA/Micro/LR03 batteries (not supplied) into
the battery compartment

compartment 9 as indicated on the polarity diagram.

snapping it into place.
