Handling and operation
Switching the device on/off
♦ Briefly press the /AMS button 4 to switch on the device.
♦ Briefly press the
/AMS button 4 again to switch the device
into standby mode. The time is still displayed.
NOTE
► The time is also displayed in standby mode if the backlight is not
switched off with the SNOOZE/DIMMER button
6 or in night
mode between 11 pm and 4:59 am.
► The device still consumes a small amount of power in standby
mode. Disconnect the mains power plug if you do not intend to
use the device for an extended period of time. You will need to
reset the time, alarm time and radio station if no batteries are
inserted.
Adjusting the volume
♦ Turn the VOLUME/HOUR
‒
/+ dial 2 clockwise to increase
the volume.
♦ Turn the VOLUME/HOUR
‒
/+ dial 2 anticlockwise to
decrease the volume.
NOTE
► Turning the VOLUME/HOUR
‒
/+ dial
2 will briefly show the
set volume on the display 1 with a value between "00" (mute)
and "15" (maximum volume).
► The volume setting is saved. The next time the device is switched
on, it starts at the last set volume.
