MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT
• TAPE MECHANISM DECK SECTION
PRECAUTION
1. Clean the following parts with a denatured-alcohol-moistened
swab:
record/playback head pinch roller
erase head rubber belts
capstan idlers
2. Demagnetize the record/playback head with a head demagne-
tizer.
3. Do not use a magnetized screwdriver for the adjustments.
4. After the adjustments, apply suitable locking compound to the
parts adjusted.
5. The adjustments should be performed with the rated power
supply voltage unless otherwise noted.

• CD MECHANISM DECK SECTION
To adjust the mechanism section, enter the mechanism section adjustment mode.
For how to enter the mechanism section adjustment mode, refer to each adjustment section.
DISC SENSOR ALIGMENT
1. Make sure that there is no disc in the unit.
2. Connect an oscilloscope to CN405 of the MAIN board.
3. While pressing the CLEAR and CD PLUS 1 buttons at the same time and turn ON the power.
