2-12. Blue-only White Balance
Adjustment
1. Turn ON the blue-only of the user controller SW. (To
set blue-only.)
2. Input all-white (COMPOSITE signal without burst).
The all-white signal luminance shall be 100 IRE.
CONT : 80 %
BRT : 50%
3. Select COL TEMP/BAL.
. Select 6500 K.
5. Adjust to the standard values with
500K B/O<RED»>| and
6. Select COL TEMP/BAL.
7. Select 9300K.
8. Adjust to the standard values with

9, Adjust the all-white signal Juminance, and check that
the white balance is satisfactory when the luminance
of the screen is 8NIT.

2-13. SUB BRIGHT, SUB CONTRAST
Adjustment (15 K)
1, Input the 15 K monoscope signal to the COMPO-
NENT IN connector.
Pot the unit into the service mode.
Select WHITE BALANCE.
Select SUB BRIGHT.
Set as follows from the operation panel:
CONTRAST : 0 (MIN)
BRIGHT : 0 (center)
6, Adjust [SUB-BRIGHT} in the service mode so that
the 20-tone gray scale will be as follows :
0 and 5 IRE => CUT-OFF
10 IRE => Slight glow
Set CONTRAST VR on the operation panel to 80 %.
Turn off the CONTRAST display.
Select SUB CONTRAST.
Input the window signal whose size is less than what is.

13. Select SUB CONTRAST and adjust luminance to the
standard value that is specified in step 11, with SUB-
CONTRAST.
14. Select 16 : 9. (16 : 9 UNDER SCAN)
15, Select SUB CONTRAST and adjust luminance to the
standard value that is specified in step 11, with SUB-
CONTRAST.
16. Select UNDER SCAN. (16 : 9 NORMAL)
17. Select SUB CONTRAST and adjust luminance to the
standard value that is specified in step 11, with SUB-
CONTRAST.
18, Return to the 4: 3 NORMAL screen.
19, Turn the POWER OFF.
