itifnecessary.
-Ifanewcylinderhastobe
installed,alwaysfitthematching
piston.Newcylindersareonly
availablewithpiston.
-Removethecylindergasket.

Atthestartercupside,takethe
snapring(B8x0.7)outofthe
groove.
Note:Thehooklesssnapringat
theflywheelsideremainsinthe
groove.
•
Nowusethe7mm(1/4")diadrift
topushthepistonpin(1)outof
thepiston.
Note:Ifthepistonpinisstuck,tap
theendofthedriftlightlywitha
hammerifnecessary.Holdthe
pistonsteadyduringthisprocess
toensurethatnojoltsaretrans-
mittedtotheconnectingrod.
-Removepistonfromthe
connectingrod.
-Inspectneedlecafeandreplace
crankshaftifnecessary-see5.7.
