The message “MUTING ON NOW” runs repeatedly from right to
left across the display as long as the muting function is on.
Press once again to return to the previous volume level.

Turn the speakers off when using headphones. Turning the
speakers off automatically engages STEREO mode. When
SPEAKERS A is turned on, last sound mode is automatically
selected again. If SPEAKERS A is still selected when either
SURROUND or 3 STEREO is used, the sound heard through the
headphones will seem unusual.
Be sure to also turn off the subwoofer or reduce its volume to
minimum.
Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent hearing
damage.
